In order to focus the work of the platform and to increase its efficiency, several work groups have been established. Within these groups and based on their forms and orientations, specific programmes and projects have been initiated. Every group has its representative in the steering board of Platform Kanal which allows and integrated work. The work groups are constituted by local actors from different sectors and interested citizens.
Recently, there has been a shift in the mode of function from the thematic work group approach to a project-based approach. Ongoing projects include, among others, Festival Kanal, Café Kanal and Foto Kanal. Strong partnerships, collaborations and temporary near-fusions between groups are the result of these projects. The development of a long-term vision is supported by concrete actions that go beyond random or anecdotic experiences.
